Surekid irrumpe de nuevo en la escena rap con "Shinigami - The Return of the Shinobi", un álbum que da continuidad a su aclamado "Shinobi - Enter the lo-fi" publicado por TAPES4US RECORDS en 2019. Este tercer álbum en solitario es un testimonio de madurez artística, donde el rapero y productor catalán se balancea hábilmente entre su lado más robusto y su vulnerabilidad, ofreciendo una experiencia musical completa; un viaje emocional en todos los sentidos.

“Shinigami” no es solo una secuela, sino una evolución; durante las 13 pistas que componene el álbum, Surekid nos lleva a un recorrido que define muy certeramente en ‘Flor de loto’ como "amor y odio a partes iguales". Podemos ver claramente esta dualidad en tracks como 'Siluetas', 'Despedida', y 'Final de línea', que revelan su faceta más personal, en contraposición con 'Sagrado', 'Shinigami', y 'Lowkey/Esfinges', que reflejan el tradicional y característico sonido oscuro y contundente de Surekid.
